RIBtype base-sheet is used on marking devices to hold type. It is affixed to hand stamps, coders, self-inkers, print wheels, and print heads. Base sheet can be ordered with adhesive back and/or 1/8" sponge to meet your requirements. Standard base sheet thickness is .155".
Base sheet can be ordered in large sheets or cut-to-size to suit your application. When cutting-to-size, cuts are always made between ribs. Length tolerance is +/ 1/32" or 2%, whichever is larger. Smaller tolerances, when necessary, are available by quote.
Base sheet is readily available in natural rubber and buna, but can also be made in other materials.
Ribtype base material, or rib-base, is attached to printing devices to hold type. The ribbed rubber holds type securely in place during printing and is commonly used on hand stamps, coding and marking machines, and self-inkers. Base sheet is universal, meaning all styles and sizes of standard RIBtype® will fit into the same ribbed base.
